I love drawing more than anything else art has to offer, it is me.
I use line on top of line, like a spool of thread, creating images that become alive with unique textures and surface tension. Since I use both hands, usually at the same time, I am able to develop a sense of rhythm much like a musician. Layer over layer to create a surface that becomes more vibrant with each additional layer.
Most of the time I use heavy weight bristle board for my base allowing me to work and rework the surface much as I do with my paintings. The end result is like no other artist since it is very much Ray (me) and my relationship with me (Ray). I hope you enjoy my approach and absolute love for drawing.
